BROOKLYN EXPO CENTER
72 NOBLE STREET
BROOKLYN, NY 11222
ABA is curator and designer of “New Brooklyn Architecture,” an exhibit produced for The Architect’s Newspaper and the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter New Practices Committee at BKLYN DESIGNS. The exhibit extends the concept of the trade show, enlisting seven emergent architectural and design firms to display their trade in its most elemental form: the drawing. The interactive exhibit incorporates those means, artifacts, and documents that define the stuff of architecture— revealing the work that happens between the very first meeting through to a project’s completion.
At 3:00 PM on SUNDAY, MAY 10, The Architect’s Newspaper Executive Editor William Menking will lead a rapid-format panel with seven local architecture firms changing the Brooklyn landscape. Panelists include: Emily Abruzzo, Partner, Abruzzo Bodziak Architects; Julie Torres Moskovitz, Founding Principal, FABRICA 718; Philipp von Dalwig, Partner, MANIFOLD.ArchitectureStudio; Phu Hoang, Director, MODU; Jon Lott, Principal, PARA Project; Benjamin Cadena, Founder, Studio Cadena; Bryan Young, Principal, YOUNG PROJECTS.
